- Perform dental examinations and assessments to identify oral health issues
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs
- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct routine cleanings and preventive treatments to maintain oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems (such as Denticon)
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development
Experience:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Proven experience in general dentistry, including pediatric dentistry
- Proficiency in medical terminology, dental office procedures, and medical coding
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for dental diagnosis
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff members
