Position Overview:
We are growing and seek a full-time, experienced Dental Patient Coordinator to assist with our front-office operations and ensure a seamless patient scheduling and treatment experience. This role is integral in optimizing the schedule by managing patient appointments, coordinating treatment plans, and maintaining clear communication with patients and staff. The ideal candidate will be a polished professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values building relationships, and has a genuine interest in delivering exceptional service.

 

Office Hours:
Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm
Friday 8 am-2 pm
1 Saturday per month 8 am-2 pm

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide an outstanding customer experience by creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment.
  • Welcome patients, verify and update personal and insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork.
  • Answer phones in a friendly and professional manner, assisting patients with inquiries and scheduling.
  • Keep patients accurately informed about wait times, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
  • Check and return all voice messages on the same day to maintain timely communication.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring an organized and optimized schedule.
  • Prioritize new patients and ensure they are appropriately noted on the schedule.
  • Offer immediate attention to emergency patients and coordinate their appointments promptly.
  • Maintain a short-notice "call list" to fill cancellations and keep the schedule full.
  • Verify insurance coverage, confirm eligibility, and coordinate patient benefits.
  • Discuss treatment costs, payment options, and financial arrangements with patients.
  • Ensure a smooth check-out process by reviewing post-treatment care, scheduling follow-ups, and finalizing payments.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at check-in and check-out.
  • Process payments accurately and provide patients with receipts and financial documentation.
  • Assist in treatment plan presentation, ensuring patients understand their options and financial responsibilities.
  • Manage patient recall using technology-driven systems (e.g., automated calls, emails, and text messaging).
  • Follow up with patients to encourage continued care and maintain an active patient base.

 

Full-time team members are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, holiday pay, matching 401K, continuing education and training, along with the ability for growth and development opportunities.

 

Salary Range: $19-$23 per hour

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental front office setting is REQUIRED. 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with dental software (experience with Denticon is a plus).

  • A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

 

Pay Range

USD $19.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
