College Ave Modern Dental is an established general dentistry clinic located in Fort Collins near the CSU college campus. We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join us full-time, Monday-Thursday. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in both front and back office operations. In this role, you will work as a Dental Assistant a couple of days per week and a Dental Patient Coordinator the other 2 days. Our ideal Dental Assistant will have 1+ years of experience working in a general dentistry clinic and have a background in treatment planning and insurance verification. However, we are willing to train a new grad if they have a great work ethic and are eager to learn. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm

Compensation: $22-$26/hr, plus bonus opportunities

Responsibilities:

• Genuinely welcome patients into the practice
• Schedule patient appointments, keeping the doc and hygienist's schedules full
• Send appointment reminders, collect payments and call on outstanding balances
• Verify insurance, discuss financing options with patients
• Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort are achieved
• A thorough review and update of the patient's health history
• Sterilization of instruments according to OSHA regulations
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies as needed for each operatory 
• Assist the dentist chairside
• Provide post-operative instructions
• Create, present and enter treatment plans into Denticon
• Stock and order supplies

Qualifications:

• Active CPR Certification required
• X-Ray Certification Required
• 1+ year(s) of experience in general dentistry preferred
• Experience with insurance verification and treatment planning preferred
• Dental Assistant Certification preferred
