Schedule: Monday through Thursday 8 - 5

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Temporary Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team for a limited assignment. The hygienist will provide high-quality preventive dental care, patient education, and support to the clinical team while maintaining excellent standards of infection control and patient comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), scaling, and root planning as needed

• Conduct oral health assessments and document findings in patient charts

• Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays)

• Screen patients for periodontal disease and other oral health conditions

• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, periodontal health, and preventive care

• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants when indicated

• Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment notes

• Follow OSHA, CDC, and practice infection control protocols

• Assist the dentist in identifying treatment needs and communicating with patients

• Ensure operatory setup, sterilization, and turnover between patients

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the State of [State]

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and infection control standards

• Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) preferred

• Excellent communication and patient care skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with digital X-rays and periodontal charting
